Kristy – Elite Dog Grooming Founder

Founder – Kristy

Elite Dog Grooming starting the business in July 2011

 

July 2018 Kristy decided to move the business to Romiley village in Stockport the light and spacious space is perfect for an atmosphere that dogs and staff thrive in.

Kristy is passionate about the grooming industry and believes education is essential to ensure a safe salon that will help staff and students excel. Kristy has achieved City & Guilds level 3 Diploma and furthered her education to reach the highest accolade in the grooming industry achieving her Master of Guilds in 2019.

2020 Kristy opened the training centre after achieving level 3 Award in Education and Training and March 2023 achieving level 3 in assessing vocational Achievements, this ensures students can be assessed on site for  their assessments as well as Kristy assessing in other salons

Meet Poppy & Casper:

Our Friendly Salon Ambassadors

 

At our salon, you might be lucky enough to meet our beloved furry friends, Poppy and Casper. Casper, our lively greeter, is always ready to welcome new clients with his favourite ball in tow. Meanwhile, Poppy enjoys the quieter side of life, preferring cosy naps, plenty of cuddles, and the occasional biscuit. Together, they bring warmth and charm to every visit.

Poppy

Poppy our very cute Salon dog has had many styles over the years  Kristy loves to learn new styles keeping upto date with all the trends,  Asian Fusion being the latest fashion. Kristy regularly attends competitions with Poppy the last competition being awarded 2nd in Champion work shop.

Casper

Casper the face of Elite Dog Grooming is our star of the salon he loves cuddles off customers and helps with the meet and greets for the puppies hes such a gentle boy and has very comedic traits.

Archie

Archie Joined Elite Dog Grooming in 2020, over the 4 years he has been with the business he has achieved his City&Guilds level 2 Grooming assistant and is working towards the level 3. He entered his first grooming competition May 2024 style2Recue where he placed a very respectable 5th grooming a dog he had never met before looking for a home.

Archie is the main groomer in the salon who hand strips a lot of the many terriers we have at the salon, his favourite breed is Border terriers.
